Welcome. These Terms govern your access to and use of ChessWithPass™, including the website, the chess engine, tournaments, the balance system, and any related services. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, rent, or share your account with anyone else.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use chess engines, bots, or any external assistance during games;
• collude with other players to manipulate ratings, tournaments, or rewards;
• harass, threaten, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other users;
• upload illegal, infringing, or sexually explicit content as avatars or proofs;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.

Balance and rewards

ChessWithPass™ awards in-app balance points for specific actions (signup, email verification, eligible bonus claims, etc.). Points have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may be withdrawn for violations of these Terms.

We may adjust reward amounts and program rules at any time. Tournament entry fees and prize pools are governed by the specific rules of each tournament.

Intellectual property

ChessWithPass™ and Pass Piece™ are trademarks of Alexey Fomin. The site's design, code, content, and the Pass Piece™ shape are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, or that any defects will be corrected.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChessWithPass™ and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the service.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the account settings page.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
